Cyprus Housing Scheme 2026
The 6th Edition of the Housing Scheme for the Revitalization of Mountainous, Buffer Zone (Green Line), and Disadvantaged Areas in Cyprus officially began on March 2, 2026, with applications open until December 31, 2027. The initiative provides financial support of up to €100,000 for the purchase, construction, or renovation of homes, aiming to promote permanent residency in 277 eligible areas. This total combines increased grants of up to €70,000 from the Ministry of the Interior with additional grants of up to €30,000 from the Ministry of Energy for energy upgrades, which can now be claimed together for the first time.
The scheme offers financial support to individuals interested in buying, building, or renovating a home in selected areas of Cyprus, including mountainous regions, communities near the buffer zone (Green Line), and other less populated areas. Its goal is to support local communities and encourage population growth in these regions.
